Some Early Reviews for The Witcher Season 4 Paint a Bad Picture

Of course, despite all the negativity surrounding Season 4, fans were hoping that the show would rise from the ashes. However, if we look at the early reviews for The Witcher Season 4, it seems like the latest season has majorly disappointed the hardcore fans of the incredible franchise. Chase Hutchinson from The Wrap, for instance, makes it clear in his review that Liam Hemsworth doesn’t bring enough range or spark as Henry Cavill. Chase also says that every other actor does a pretty good job in the latest season, and of course, the gruesome ending and the action sequences might pull back some fans. However, that doesn’t change the fact that there’s a void after Cavill’s departure that Lima fails to fill. Then, there’s Sarah Dempster from The Guardian, who seems to agree on the fact that Liam, no matter how charismatic he is in real life, fails to match the brilliance of Henry Cavill as Geralt. Sarah says that Liam’s accent for Geralt is as uneven as the overall narrative of The Witcher Season 4. Sure, these negative reviews may disappoint several fans of The Witcher, but hey, it’s not all negative. There are, in fact, some reviews that give you hope.

But Some Early Reviews Suggest That You Should Give The Witcher Season 4 a Chance

Of course, the negativity around Liam’s portrayal of Geralt can’t be ignored. However, there are some reviews that paint a rather good picture for Season 4 of The Witcher. Aramide Tinubu from Variety, for instance, says in her review that The Witcher Season 4 is an upgrade. Aramide has praised the fact that the latest season of The Witcher on Netflix zeroes in on Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri. She also says the action sequences and the straightforward narrative are major strengths of the fourth season. That’s not it, as Jamie Parker from Comicbook also praises The Witcher Season 4 while also making it clear that it’s not perfect. Jamie says in his review that in the fourth season, Liam delivers a Strong Turn as Geralt of Rivia. He also praises the character arc of Yennefer, but says that Ciri feels like she’s left behind in the show. However, other than the fact that Liam seems great as Geralt, Jamie likes the latest season majorly because of all the amazing new characters. There are, of course, several other early reviews for The Witcher Season 4; however, this right about sums it all up. It’s a mixed bag. While some people like what the latest season has to offer, there are some fans who can’t seem to accept Liam as the new Geralt. Name Email ID
