Resident Evil Requiem Release Date
Resident Evil Requiem will release on February 27, 2026. The game is set to become available on Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S. March 2026 is also going to be the 30th anniversary of the Resident Evil franchise, making Resident Evil: Requiem a special sequel for Capcom. Resident Evil Requiem is the latest installment in the mainline games of the Resident Evil franchise. This sequel will take players back to the infamous Raccoon City, which held the headquarters for the Umbrella company. This time, Grace Ashcroft, an FBI intelligence analyst, will take center stage as she investigates her mother’s death. But, she won’t be alone as Leon has also been confirmed as a playable character in Resident Evil Requiem. Leon in Resident Evil Requiem was revealed during the latest trailer showcased at The Game Awards 2025. The trailer showed Leon in his classic look and revealed that he will be fully playable alongside Grace in RE9. Also, a new villain, Victor Gideon, was revealed during the trailer, and he joins the horrific, ghoulish creature revealed for Requiem before. The gameplay will feature the classic survival horror of the genre that players are already familiar with. Alongside the familiar shoot-and-run combat, also expect a ton of investigations, puzzles, and resource management. What’s more is that Resident Evil Requiem will let you switch between first and third-person views, allowing players to choose how they want to experience the horrors of Raccoon City.
