The Precious Pals event in Pokemon GO was released on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, and will be available for 5 days. We have listed the start and the end times below.

Once this Pokemon GO event ends, you will no longer be able to take part and obtain the rewards.

Limited Time Evolution Bonuses

During the event, the following evolution requirements will be temporarily changed:

Pawmo and Pawmot: Evolve Pawmo into Pawmot after exploring 5 km with Pawmo as your buddy. Eevee and Sylveon: Evolve Eevee into Sylveon after earning 20 hearts with Eevee as your buddy. Pancham and Pangoro: Evolve Pancham into Pangoro after catching ten Dark-type Pokémon with Pancham as your buddy.

Shiny Pokemon Debut

Shiny Fidough and Shiny Dachsbun were released during the event, for the first time in Pokemon GO. Fidough evolves into Dachsbun using 50 Fidough candies. While this Pokemon isn’t that viable in the current Pokemon GO meta, you can hunt down its shiny for collection purposes. We recommend that you try to get two shiny Fidough: one for the first stage and the second for Dachsbun evolution.
