Marvel Rivals Season 5.5 Roadmap
As revealed by the official Marvel Rivals X account, you can look forward to new content every week during Season 5.5. Here’s an overview of the roadmap:
December 12 – Season 5.5 Release
New Hero: Rogue New Costumes: ‘Savage South’ Rogue & ‘Rocket of the Rafters’ Rocket Raccoon New Event: Seeds of the Gardener
On December 12, Marvel Rivals Season 5.5 will officially kick off, bringing a new Vanguard, the Seeds of the Gardener event, and fresh costumes to the game. The new Hero is, of course, Rogue, a powerful mutant capable of stealing an opponent’s abilities and using them in her favor. Accompanying the character are a range of buffs and nerfs to existing heroes that are well worth checking out. The Seeds of the Gardener event also kicks off at the same time, offering costumes for Iron Man, Iron Fist, and Captain America. Speaking of costumes, you’ll also find new outfits for Rogue and Rocket Raccoon in the store.
December 19 – Winter Celebrations Kick Off
New Map & Gamemode: Jeffland and Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival New Event: Pym Technologies Test Kitchen New Event: Holiday Special New Costumes Theme: Winter Holiday 2025
In the week before Christmas, Marvel Rivals will receive some lovely festive content. This includes the return of Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival, which is basically a riff on Splatoon’s gameplay formula starring the beloved Land Shark. Arriving on the same day is the Pym Technologies Test Kitchen event. As revealed by the devs, make sure to visit Pym’s Kitchen on the Time Squad map for a special reward. Continuing the festivities is the Holiday Special event, which brings Christmas-themed costumes for characters such as Peni-Parker, Star Lord, Squirrel Girl, and Daredevil.
December 26 – More Winter Holiday Costumes
New Costumes: ‘Winter Holiday’ Cloak and Dagger & ‘Winter Holiday’ Thor New Map Feature: Times Square New Year Ball Drop Countdown
On the day after Christmas, Rivals will receive new Winter Holiday costumes for Cloak and Dagger and Thor. This will be accompanied by a New Year’s countdown in the Times Square map, so be sure to check it out.
January 2 – New Costumes
New Costumes: ‘Trumps of the Grandmaster’ Human Torch & Mystery skin for unconfirmed hero.
The new content releases begin winding down in volume after Christmas. Case in point, the January 2, which brings new outfits for Human Torch and a mystery character.
January 9 – More New Costumes
New Costumes: ‘Ice Phoenix’ Phoenix & ‘Cosmic Warlock’ Adam Warlock
The final bit of Marvel Rivals Season 5.5 content revolves around two more costume releases. On this occasion, you’ve got a couple of striking outfits for Phoenix and Adam Warlock to hold fans over until Season 6 releases on January 16.
