Yes, Marathon will release on Xbox Series X|S, alongside PlayStation 5 and PC, on March 5, 2026. Despite being the rival platform to Xbox, Bungie made the decision not to make Marathon a PlayStation exclusive. This means the title will be available on all three platforms on day one. The move to keep their games multi-platform was actually a core tenet for the developers when Sony acquired Bungie in 2022. This not only allows players to enjoy Marathon on the platform of their choice but also provides Bungie with more opportunities to expand their player base. Bungie has confirmed that Marathon will feature full cross-play and cross-save functionality. With cross-play, players can team up with friends who might be playing on PS5 or PC. Meanwhile, with cross-progression, you can carry your progress over from Xbox to PS5 or PC.
