Is Thomas Godolkin the Real Cipher?
In the latest episode, we see that Marie comes up with a plan to take down the Dean Cipher, who has been making life hell for her and her friends. She decides to heal Thomas Godolkin and, in return, expects him to help take down Cipher. However, when she reached Dean Cipher’s house, he was not there, but they did find Polarity. He was struggling to even stand straight and started having a seizure. This is when Marie takes his hand and heals him of the illness that had been killing him slowly but painfully. They then figure out that Cipher must have held Godolkin at the University and head out to find him. After a lot of searching, they figure out Godolkin is locked up in a basement. While Polarity, along with Sam, Greg, and Jordan, held Cipher back, Marie and Cate went to the basement looking for Godolkin. Marie finds him and asks if she heals him, will Godolkin help them take down Cipher? To which he agrees, and Marie heals him. On the other hand, Polarity finally manages to overpower Cipher. Just when he is about to kill him, he begs for his life and tells Polarity that it has been Godolkin in his head all along. Dean Cipher was Doug Brightbill in reality, a person whose body was hijacked by Thomas Godolkin and was controlling everything. Gen V Season 2 Episode 7 reveals to us that Thomas Godolkin is Cipher and has been controlling everything from behind the curtains. Now that Marie had healed him, he walked out and started killing Supes, whom he thought to be weak. The episode next in line is the finale of Gen V Season 2, and considering how much is still to be unraveled, especially how Marie and the others stop Godolkin from committing genocide, we can certainly expect an epic finale coming our way.
