Of course, there was no shortage of interesting locations and characters outside the Strip, chief among them being a faction referred to as ‘The Kings.’ These Elvis impersonators were the benevolent rulers of Freeside who rocked a pompadour and a leather jacket like it was the 1960s. Due to their eccentric principles, many fans came to love the group. Unfortunately for them, Fallout Season 2 confirms a tragic ending for the Kings.

Fallout Season 2 Kills the King On-Screen

Trailers for Fallout Season 2 had already confirmed that some members of the Kings had turned into Feral Ghouls. What they didn’t show was that the gang’s leader – the King himself – has also suffered the same fate. This is revealed when Lucy and the Ghoul approach the Strip‘s main entrance. While the Securitrons that previously guarded the area have been destroyed, the location is now haunted by the ghoulified Kings. They might look worse for wear, and their jackets are certainly dustier, but the hair is still immaculate as ever. Nevertheless, Lucy wastes no time in blowing them all to bits before firing a final shot in the direction of the gang’s leader. The show never explicitly states that the final ghoul is the King, but his attire makes it unmistakable. In Fallout: New Vegas, the King was the only character to wear a white coat with a black shirt, paired with matching black trousers. The show even adds a guitar strapped to his back, further setting him apart. The bullet flies through his head, and just like that, the King is dead — long live the King. This isn’t the only character from FNV that the show has killed off. Most notably, episode three confirmed the demise of Edward Sallow, the founder of Caesar’s Legion. With the series continuing to explore the New Vegas timeline, it’ll be interesting to see which familiar faces meet a similar fate next. Name Email ID
