If you go through a recap for Dune Part One and have watched how majestic Dune Part 2 has been, it is evident that, with the two movies, Dune has completed the first Dune novel, ending with Paul becoming the emperor. Now, moving on to Dune part 3, director Denis Villeneuve has already confirmed that it will be based on the second novel, Dune: Messiah, with the same title, and since Dune movies stick close to the source material, we can certainly say that Dune part 3 will follow the same plot as the novel, Dune: Messiah. The plot of the novel follows 12 years after Paul became the emperor. The novel revolves mainly around two things. Paul’s forces have waged a holy war across the galaxy, spreading the religion of Arrakis across the galaxy. Amid this war, there’s a conspiracy to assassinate Paul by the Bene Gesserit.
