Amphoreus’s Future Explained in Honkai Star Rail
As the Trailblazer prepares to fight Irontomb alongside Cyrene and trusted companions of the Astral Express, we start seeing the Chrysos Heirs mixing their spirit with us to create a stronger front against the Lord Ravager. Once the battle against the Irontomb begins, we see the Emanator of Destruction attack Amphoreus and destroy it. Next, Cyrene protects us from the attack, and we eventually end up defeating Irontomb. However, with its dying gasp, Irontomb splits into multiple virus clusters and tries to infect the cosmos. To prevent this from happening, the spirit of every Chrysos Heir uses itself as arrows, which are then fired by Cyrene to counter the spread. By this point, we realize that Amphoreus is no more, and the Chrysos Heirs are dead. However, the next instant, we see all the Chrysos Heirs back in the Astral Express. We soon learn that they are just memories brought back by Cyrene as she puts the As I’ve Written on your hands. That’s when she reveals that Amphoreus is not yet fully gone, but continues to live in As I’ve Written as memory. She then informs that there is a possibility of Amphoreus being revived in some part of the cosmos. Cyrene asks the Trailblazer to “tend to all the seeds of Tomorrow and bring them to another miracle someday in the future.” So, even though Amphoreus is now only in memory and does not exist in the cosmos, there is a possibility of reviving it in the future. Now, whether the Chrysos Heirs will be revived as they are or it will take years for them to appear is yet unknown.
Cyrene’s Future Explained in Honkai Star Rail
Many of you may be wondering about Cyrene’s future more than Amphoreus. At the end of Amphoreus, Cyrene had to make another incredibly difficult decision. Madame Herta told her that Cyrene could either sever herself from Amphoreus and live a separate life as herself, with the possibility of even joining the Astral Express, or she could forever preserve Amphoreus as memory, but lose her individual self and always live in the past. Cyrene obviously chose the second option, which would safeguard Amphoreus’s future at her own sake. This also meant that Cyrene is no longer a part of the “Present” in Honkai Star Rail and is only a “Past” memory. This also when she realizes that it was she who helped her old self in Amphoreus and not Fuli, and we later learn Cyrene’s real name as she accepts her fat. But there is a catch! According to Elio’s script, revealed by Kafka, at the end of the Cosmos, when everything is destroyed, the Remembrance will preserve everything as memory, while only Cyrene and the Trailblazer will be eternally alive in both the past, present, and future. This is obviously one of the possible outcomes of the Finality, so it may not come to pass. Whichever the case, Cyrene will likely not appear in the story anytime soon, but there is a chance of reviving Amphoreus down the line.
