Kali Could Have Been Brought Back to Act as a Plot Armor
Even before the fifth season came live on Netflix, there were heavy speculations that either Will or Eleven might end up sacrificing themselves for the greater good, because it had been heavily speculated that there would be a major death this season. Now, in the fourth episode of this new season, we see that Hopper and Eleven break into the military base set up in the Upside Down, and there, they discover that Kali has been held as a test subject in a vault. Now, on the other hand, Will and the others are actively being attacked by Demogorgons while attempting to rescue children targeted by Vecna. When things go extremely south, and the lead cast is about to be killed by the monsters, Will manifests his powers and kills off the Demogorgons before they can hurt his friends. So, with that, Will has now become a threat to Vecna as well and might just end up on his hit list. So, what if we were right all along about someone important dying by the end of the season, but instead of killing off Eleven or Will, Netflix brought back Kali in Stranger Things Season 5 just to kill her off and have her death act as a plot armor for the fan favourite characters? Only time can tell what the story holds in truth, but if this theory turns out to be true, it would be both smart and brutal of Netflix to give this character such a fate. What do you guys think?
