We Will Get to Meet “Hank, the Scientist” in Fallout Season 2

Just before the release of Fallout Season 2, Beebom’s Entertainment Editor, Anmol Sachdeva, had the opportunity to interview members of Fallout Season 2’s lead cast. There, Kyle was asked about the change in the character dynamic of Hank we witnessed in Season 1, and if there are more such major changes we might get to witness in Fallout Season 2. To this, Kyle MacLachlan responded by saying that we will definitely get to see more aspects of Hank in the upcoming season, but the most prominent one would be ” Hank, the Scientist” in his comment, Kyle told Beebom- Now that we have talked about Hank as an individual, it is also instrumental to take into account the relationship shared by him and his daughter, Lucy.

Kyle MacLachlan Explains What It Was Like to Portray the Changed Dynamic Between Hank and Lucy

Bringing their complex relationship to light, Anmol went ahead and addressed the elephant in the room. He asked Kyle about the effects Lucy’s newfound hatred towards her dad has had on the overall show and if this new complex dynamic was difficult to portray. To this, Kyle responded by saying that even though it was slightly difficult, but not really challenging. According to him, there’s still a lot of territory to cover when it comes to the relationship shared by Lucy and Hank, where they figure out how to deal with each other. He also addressed how, as an actor, it’s always important to flesh out as many layers of your character as possible, which this strained dynamic allowed him to do. Kyle told Beebom- Now that we have covered all that, one thing that is repeating itself in my mind over and over again is what Kyle actually means by stating that we will get to see “Hank the Scientist” this season. Well, let’s put on silver foil hats ASAP, cause I’ve got a couple of theories.

Hank Could Be Carrying out Experiments to Complete Vault-Tec’s Mission

By the end of Season 1, it is pretty self-explanatory that Hank is on a mission for Vault-Tec. We know that they want to have total control over the surface world, rebuilding everything as their own, and eradicating all the other factions that roam the wasteland. Now, we know that Hank made his way to New Vegas, a place that is scattered with multiple vaults in the game. We are also aware that unethical human experiments are carried out in most of the Vaults in Fallout. What if we get to see Hank carry out scientific experiments on human subjects to ensure control over the wasteland in some way? Now, we already know that it would take years to gain control by force, and currently, Vault-Tec does not have the numbers to make that happen. So, it has to be something that would help the company and Hank to gain numbers to effectively take control. Now, to know what exactly it may be, we will have to wait for more episodes to drop.
